Food for thought


I understand both points but I don not think Ewen meant disregard and rename the disability. Or intended to disregard that the person has a disability such as Person with Spinal Muscular Atrophy.(SMA) But rather Ewen was trying to make the point that you do not refer to a person as BEING A DISABILITY. He meant The Blind should be the Person who is Blind.

Because you would never call a group of tall people the talled, The shorties, the Over-weighted.

I suffer endogenous depression (genetic I believe) & the Australian government threw me on the scrap heap at age 50. I have many other afflictions too, however won't bore you by listing them all here.
