II felt really bummed out yesterday when somebody left some very critical statements about me trying to be a victim. I chickened out and deleted them. Ooopps ! Bad Idea
The truth is I want to make a difference in this world. This is what I want for everyone who uses a ventilator that has the ability. But in order to due these things supports need to be in place. If I was a victim I would be watching soap operas and those talk shows where you punch your Mother-in-law but instead Im trying o advocate for change.
We need people to be rehabilitated but the irony is that there are no rehab facilities in Edmonton to take someone using a ventilator including the Glenrose. So people are we and too early to get in. So end up dying to get in. I have be disabled all my life so have some idea how to adapt.
I put my story out so that people can relate as I now have life experience to write this down I hate sympathy. PLEASE DO NOT FEEL SORRY FOR ME but some empathy would be fine.
I agree that people on ventilators should contribute but supports need to be in place because everyone is afraid of liability. Why does contribution ALWAYS have to have a $$ value attached??
